How to get an interview with one of the most interesting, talented and popular Indian scientists, says Dr Rakesh Joshi, founder of Dr Joshi’s Science Portal.

1.

The interview is not for publicity or publicity-seeking purposes, it’s just a way of finding out what you can learn from someone.

2.

There is no fee to be paid.

3.

You can ask for anything you want.

4.

You are not expected to share your credentials or professional experience.

5.

You will not be able to ask anything else.

You may not be asked any questions that you are not comfortable with.

7.

You don’t have to disclose anything you don’t want to reveal.

8.

You have a right to not be contacted.

There are no “favorites” or “top 10” questions.

13.

You also have a legal right to withhold your identity if you do not wish to participate.

14.

You should not have to answer any questions on your privacy or the confidentiality of your emails.

20.

You do not have a obligation to answer all of the questions asked by the interviewer.

21.

You could cancel the interview if the interviewer asks you questions that don’t fit your answer or if you don- t want to. 22.

The only way you can decline an interview is if you are concerned that the interview may be biased.

The question “are you black?” does not have an affirmative answer.

24.

You only have to say yes or no to a single question in the interview and it does not matter if you answered no. 25.
