MTV’s new show ‘MTV’s New Show’ stars Ryan Phillippe as the ‘Dude’ from ‘The Walking Dead’

MTV’s New York City-set new series ‘MVN’s New Set’ features a mix of old and new faces as it is helmed by Ryan Phillippi, who has starred in the hit series ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘The Wire.’

Phillipps character is a veteran of the military and he is introduced to his fellow veteran’s group in a flashback, where he is in the same unit as two of the group’s members.

Phillipp says his character has been in the military for nearly 20 years, but the cast also includes ‘Mad Men’ star Matthew Weiner (the showrunner behind the upcoming HBO series ‘Veep’), ‘House of Cards’ actor and writer Aaron Paul, ‘Breaking Bad’ star Aaron Paul and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ actor Joss Whedon.

The series also stars Michael Chiklis, Chris Diamantopoulos, John Daley, Liza Weil and Ryan Phillipe.

‘MOVN’s’ Ryan Phillippy stars as a veteran in the upcoming MTV series ‘ MTV’s ‘New Set’ premieres October 22 on MTV News at 8 p.m.
